This is how I found this egg the other day, with natural blanket!

I love winter, it’s cold and you can wear big comfy jumpers. 

Right now it’s a beautiful sunny day with a crisp breeze cutting through - a normal winters day for Merredin.  Last night was clear and chilly-perfect. 

We’ve only had to light our fire twice so far this year, just hasn’t been cold enough.

I’m not the best photographer (by a LONG shot!) but I think this displays winter here in my backyard.  I have another one of the front yard, but the palms give it a summery feel!  Take a look.

I think the camera lens has a smudge, it’s not foggy at all, very clear today.

Yesterday was Christmas Day.  My parents came up from Perth to spend the past 3 days with us.  The weather was on our side, not TOO hot.  It got to 36.c yesterday at the hottest, so we were blessed.  It was a great day with lots of fun and laughter.  They left this morning to get back before the traffic rush.

There are a couple more photos that I wanted to put up but I couldn’t seem to work out how to resize them to thumbnails - they only wanted to go up full sized and they’re huge, so that just won’t work!  I may try later.

Today it’s supposed to get to 42.c - so we’re inside with the air conditioning on.  The girls did some swimming lessons last week and so are practicing what they can in the tiny inflatable pool we have!  Dave is enjoying the Boxing Day Test Match and I’m doing bits and pieces.
